Shatkarmas – cleansing practices

Shatkarma practices restore the natural flow of energy in the body and provide clarity of mind.

What are Shatkarmas?

Shatkarmas are six purification techniques for the body and mind. They restore the natural flow of energy in the body and bring clarity to the mind. These techniques deeply detoxify the digestive, respiratory, and nervous systems, removing lethargy, anxiety, and emotional stagnation. They awaken the inner fire (agni), which provides vital force and radiance.

Shatkarmas prepare the body for pranayama, meditation, and deeper consciousness.

In order to master Shatkarmas, a teacher knowledgeable in these practices is essential.
