MRY PRIMARY METHODOLOGY

Mai Ram Yoga Primary is a methodology designed for those who wish to practice yoga and become yoga teachers.

This methodology is intended for yoga teachers and instructors working in yoga centers, sports and wellness clubs, schools, or other institutions. Mai Ram Yoga Primary practice develops not only the physical body, but also concentration and self-awareness, and helps adapt to various life changes.

These are distinctive, short-term studies designed for future teachers who wish to learn the fundamentals and prepare for the Basic I 200-hour yoga teacher training.

 The training program includes

theoretical lectures and practical sessions:

Initiation into spiritual practice (Sanskrit: sādhanā) granted by the Guru, with the right to teach yoga practices and develop yoga teaching according to the Guru’s guidance (recognizing that teaching yoga is not a profession, but sadhana – a spiritual practice);

Study of yoga philosophy and essential yoga concepts;

Fundamentals of yoga anatomy;

Pranayama – mastering breathing techniques, learning to regulate breath while increasing and preserving energy potential;

Practice of asanas and asana sequences (Sanskrit: vinyāsa), designed to develop concentration, self-control, and self-observation in order to master the functions of body and mind;

Relaxation practices;

Surya Namaskar – learning the Sun Salutation rituals;

Karma yoga – selfless service for the benefit of the ashram, fostering devotion and commitment to the yoga path;

Meditation – practices of mental focus;

Mastery of Mai Ram Yoga Intro and Open Level methodologies and development of teaching skills.

Total duration of the course: 70 academic hours

The purpose of the MRY Intro practice is to learn an individual asana and pranayama practice and, by experiencing its benefits, integrate it into daily life. During this sequence, participants learn correct execution of yoga postures, breathing practices, and relaxation.

Important notes

We recommend practicing Mai Ram Yoga Open before attending the “Mai Ram Yoga Primary 70-hour” teacher training in order to fully integrate what you will later teach, from the practitioner’s perspective.

Knowing the asana sequence in advance will benefit you, your group participants, and your future students, helping ensure that learning time is as effective as possible.

Regarding theoretical preparation, you should at least be familiar with the content of all recommended books. It is advised to purchase and begin reading them in advance (ideally finishing them) before the studies begin.

If you aim to become a Mai Ram Yoga teacher, reading these core methodological texts will not only inspire you but also provide the philosophical foundation necessary to fully absorb the training material.

All these requirements and conditions are created for your benefit, so that the training is as meaningful as possible. We invite you to prepare sincerely and in advance.
